Harden Industries supplies melt extrusion filtering screen changers for plastics processing applications.

Melt screen changer is available supporting the device as following: extruder, melt pump, reactor or other extrusion lines. It can be used to filter any type of polymer, rubber or ceramic materials.

Melt screen changer is usually used in the extrusion line, for example, the resin granulation process after polymerization , engineering plastics compounding pelletizing, plastic recycling granulator, blown and cast film extrusion, sheet extrusion, pipe and profile extrusion, rubber mixing, and ceramics extrusion, etc.

For different extrusion lines and production processes, a variety of screen changer have been designed. Manual screen changer suitable for slow speed of changing, it can temperately stop the production process; Automatic screen changer is suitable for fast speed of changing, the extrusion process can not stop or slow down the extrusion process.

The most common failure of Melt screen changer is leaking material. As the high pressure in flow stream (20 to 60 MPa), melt will flow from the gap between the parts. For the melt, the viscosity lower , the possibility of leaking higher. the plate screen changer of Harden introduced Teflon expansion ring seal technology makes the sealing more reliable than other .

Each type of screen changer has different sizes to meet different requirements of output. Our screen changer can minimize the screen to 30mm in diameter, with 10 kg per hour of polymer extrusion production; largest screen changer is available work with the screw that diameter is 250mm, output can up to two tons per hour. Drive mode can choose manual or hydraulic drive.

For the new production line or already existing production lines, Harden can design and manufacture the adapter, so the screen changer can be connect to the extruder flange, die, and other parts.
